Here are the photos from the first half of The Last Chapter. A special thanks to Alice Doar for taking these photos and to Lizzy Blankley who not only help set-up the venue, but also blu-taced the Wall of Contributors all by herself!
Part two photos to be released tomorrow 🙂
Thanks again to Kristina, Kristian and Silvia for the photos.
The photos for our Fiction Night at Five Leaves Bookshop are here! Thanks to all that came along and those that performed, it was a great night! Also a big thank you for everyone at Five Leaves for letting us take over for the night 🙂
Twisted Tongues ran a spectacular event Tuesday night, we wish we took more photos but Kristian, who provided these photos, forgot his camera and took these from his phone. Conveniently, photos of himself reading (The Enigma of Thornwood) were never taken…but anyway!
The open mic was stocked full of talented writers, and whether you’re a poet or a fiction writer (maybe you dabble in both) it’s well worth making the trip to Derby and reading at the next Twisted Tongues event!
There’s another Twisted Tongues next month 🙂 Be sure to Follow them on Twitter and/or Like them on Facebook to keep up-to-date with all their latest news and events.
Last Monday night’s Shindig! played host to poet and Litmus magazine founder Dorothy Lehane, and poet, critic and editor Andrew Duncan. Restless Minds contributors: Mark Done, Clare Stevens and Lauren C. Terry headlined the Shindig! reading various poems and short stories from the anthology.
Here are some photos from the night courtesy of Adam Wallis, Lauren C. Terry and Clare Stevens:
The entire Restless Minds team would like to thank Nine Arches Press, the Centre for New Writing, Crystal Clear Creators and especially Jonathan Taylor, for giving us a platform to promote Restless Minds.
There are still copies of Restless Minds available for purchase, you can contact us via email or on our social media if you’re interested in buying any copies. Five Leaves still have some in stock! Stay tuned for future events *subtle wink*
2014 was a year of challenges and successes.
From January to September the Restless Minds team worked tirelessly to establish the anthology!
09/10/2014 – We had our book launch! (Check out the videos Part 1, 2, 3, 4). We even sold out on the night, a feat never achieved by any MA anthology before!
18/10/2014 – Along came Nottingham Festival of Words where we organised our second print run!
31/10/2014 – For Halloween the Restless Minds Team had many creative treats for all:
12/11/2014 – Kicking off Jazz & Poetry Night, with Four in the Bar, Mathew Sweeney and Cathy Grindrod, was a lot of fun!
29/11/2014 – Many members of the Restless Minds team graduated from Nottingham Trent University!
11/12/2014 – Restless Minds was invited to Speak Your Mind #2 (run by Dagda Publishing). Check out the videos (Part 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 ,6).
Then winter came and left but not without some holiday themed treats.
You’ve seen our many faces and listened to what we’ve had to say.
But most importantly you’ve bought our book, read our creative pieces, and supported us throughout.
