Award-winning screenwriter William Ivory will be giving a talk about Adaptations on August 4th at the Nottingham Writers’ Studio. Doors open at 6:30pm with the talk starting at 7pm in the downstairs event space.

“70% of feature films are adaptations. A vast chunk of television output, too, is based on a re-working of existing material, so it well behoves any screenwriter to consider their relationship with the adapted form very carefully!
 
William Ivory’s talk on adaptation will consider what the term actually means, what are the different forms of adaptation and what the form offers the writer, aside from a slightly less shaky income stream.”

To help support Restless Minds, award-winning screenwriter William Ivory will be giving a talk at our Screenwriting Event on August 4th about adaptations.

The event will be at the Nottingham Writers’ Studio in the downstairs event space. Doors open at 6:30pm with the talk starting at 7pm.
